Burbank YMCA Bluefins

This committee is responsible for all awards/rewards to the swimmers. Duties include inventory and purchase ( thru the Y ) of Dual Meet and Distance Chanpionship ribbons and heat winner awards for Championships. This committee is responsible for the monitoring and implementation of the Swimmer of the Month award, team gift, and captains and senior gifts. This committee is responsible for the purchase of all Banquet awards.

This committee will develop and implement all internal communications for the team. This includes the Splash newsletter, the family file folders, and the team bulletin board.

This committee is responsible for organizing the concession stand at home meets and any other time we run a concession stand. Responsible for inventory of concession stand items, reporting on purchases, and in general running this program. They will be responsible for solicitation and tracking of donations to the concession stand.

This committee is responsible for assisting the coaching staff in using team software to assist in the running of meets, submission of meet entries, recording swimmer's times and results and other computer work using team software.

This committee is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising events for the team. This will include the Reach Out Campaign event, team food nights and solicitation from businesses. Works closely with the Y staff to ensure proper implementation.

This committee is responsible for soliciting and tracking volunteers for home meets. Responsibilities include ensuring that all required positions for hosting a meet are staffed and that all families contribute their time.

This committee will solicit and receive new family mentor forms at tryouts and match the new families to an experienced BYB family to ensure the new family understands the team policies and keeps them informed of all BYB events.

This committee is responsible for the duties of officials at home and away meets and Championships They are responsible for recruiting new officials and implementing training sessions for parent volunteers. Also responsible for maintaining inventory on deck crew supplies. All officials are on this committee.

This committee will be responsible for external communication to promote and gain visibility for the team throughout the surrounding areas and to promote swimmers in their hometown. This may include articles for local press and contributing to the YMCA newsletter.

This committee will be responsible for greeting and welcoming prospective members of the BYB team at tryouts in the spring and fall. Will work with Team Registrar to ensure that forms are filled out and organized at tryouts and be available for questions regarding team information. Will organize the recruitment of timers for tryouts.

This committee will organize and run all social events for the team. These may include team breakfasts, holiday party, Spring banquet, 10 and under social, and other events. The purpose of this committee is to continue to connect all age group swimmers and their families.

This committee is responsible for organizing the purchase and distribution of the team uniform. They will also organize an equipment night and the purchase of National team uniforms.

Responsible for helping to manage the finances of the team. Ensures proper controls exist for financial operationsof team, reports to Parent Advisory Committee, and acts as liaison to the YMCA.

This committee will be responsible for the maintenance of the Official team website.
